Parliament speaker expresses concern over the growing of the youth immigration phenomena and calls on the concerned authorities and parliamentary committees to take fast measures to prevent the aggravation

On Tuesday, 1 September 2015, Council of Representatives Speaker Dr. Saleem al-Jubouri expressed his deep concern over the growing phenomenon of migration of young people out of the country and the extent of impact on the structure of Iraqi society and the future of country, especially, since a large proportion of immigrants are young people.

His Excellency mentioned, in a press release, that "We are deeply sorry when we see that the country is losing the finest of its youth, most prominent energies and the source of its strength due the growing phenomenon of migration to other countries. This concern is also due to what is accompanied by this painful event of total silence from the concerned authorities which are supposed to provide advance solutions or express interest in drawing an image that is less severe than what has be entrenched in the minds of these young people who have found in the immigration and leaving the country a solution to their problems and have an outlet to renew hope in a better future. "

Therefore, I call on the concerned authorities, including the concerned parliamentary committees to take fast measures to prevent the aggravation of the issue more. These authorities have to come up with proper solutions and recommendations to adopt measures that play a role in creating new opportunities to those young people. Projects have to be started to attract youth energies and qualifications to enhance the trust in them that they have good future and life in their country.

I also call on my great Iraqi youth sons to stick more with their land because the ordeals will go away. The country is in need to them to build and protect it as well as to be the sample of its unity and strength. His Excellency affirmed that parliament will expert all efforts to support those young people in all possible ways and mechanisms.
